Good Faith Estimate

Understanding Your Costs

Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients without insurance or those not using insurance an estimate of their medical costs. At Orthopedic & Balance Therapy Specialists, we ensure transparency with your medical expenses.

Your Rights:

  • Receive a Good Faith Estimate: You are entitled to a written estimate of the total expected cost for any non-emergency items or services. Request this at least 1 business day before your appointment.
  • Request Estimates: You can ask any healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling your service.
  • Dispute Excessive Bills: If your bill is at least $400 more than the estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
  • Keep Your Records: Save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
